João, with the qualification for the Champions League in the pocket, how are you approaching these final games of the season, knowing that you can still be champions...?
"We have reached our objective and that's a very good thing. We have three matches left and we want to win all of them. On Wednesday we play EA Guingamp who played very well and deserved their Coupe de France win on Saturday. It's a different game at the Stade Louis-II on Wednesday. A different context. As for current leaders PSG, they will be champions. They are a great team with great players and have had an excellent campaign."
How do you rate your first season in L1, with six assists and one goal?
"Individually, I can still do better next season, and that will be my ambition. I work hard every day to keep improving and also to help my team. The most important thing is the team... I am very happy with what the team has achieved. The aim at the start of the season was to finish in the top two and we have done that and are qualified for the Champions League and it's thanks to the team's efforts. That's the main thing. Next year we want to win the league and have a good run in the Champions League."
The World Cup starts in 41 days for Portugal (16/6: Germany-Portugal)... What are the aims of the Selecção?
"First of all, to play in a World Cup, in Brazil or anywhere, is very special. Portugal had a great qualifying run. Our aim is to qualify from Group D (Germany, Ghana, USA, Portugal). Every team that starts the World Cup will have a chance of doing something great. We have to perform as a team. Cristiano does everything to help the team, he scores he provides assists, he's a world-class player, the best player in the world. And I hope he will prove it again this summer!"
