His joy at scoring is matched only by the long wait... Andrea Raggi's last goal in an official match came back on April 29, 2013. With a header, not dissimilar to the one he netted against Nantes, the No.24 opened the scoring against Sedan in Week 34 of Ligue 2 (1-1). It was his fourth goal of the season, after scoring on his debut at the Stade Louis-II against Tours.
This season, Andrea Raggi also scored in his first home game with a superb volley in the friendly against Tottenham. Against Nantes he opened his Ligue 1 account, scoring the crucial secondd goal that helped his side take another big step towards qualification for next year's Champions League. The only negative was the yellow card he picked up for taking off his shirt as he celebrated... Booked the week before against Évian, Andrea Raggi will be suspended with his next yellow card...
