Following their fine win over Toulouse-Fontaines (6-0), Manu Dos Santos and Sylvain Legwinski's U17s were in Fontvieille on Monday morning to take part in the No Finish Line event. A crew from AS Monaco TV followed the players as they embarked on their morning run, and two of them - Nabil Alioui and Moussa Sylla - were even wearing GoPros to give us a "player's eye view" of proceedings. You can see the report on ASMonaco.com on Tuesday.
Manuel Dos Santos: "After 14 hours on the bus yesterday going to Toulouse, it was nice to stretch our legs a little. We combined business with pleasure, and all in a good cause for this traditional event in the Principality. Most of the players were here last year, and they have all stepped up to play their part in the No Finish Line, which is a great event."
The principle is simple, and anyone can take part: participants run or walk as many laps as they like of a 1400m circuit, which is open 24 hours a day for eight days, completing whatever distance they wish. Through entry fees (€12 for adults, €6 for under 10s), donations and sponsors, for every kilometre run, Children & Future donates €1 to support projects to help disadvantaged or sick children. The event is now into its 16th year, and the circuit has been moved from Port Hercule to Fontvielle, close to the Stade Louis-II!
