The Polish international defender impressed in late September, grabbing the winner against Angers and the leveller with Bayer, and picked up 89% of the votes in our September Top Player ballot. And while in October he collected a lower percentage of the votes (48%), Kamil Glik has been named Top Player for the second month running, emulating Dimitar Berbatov and Aymen Abdennour who achieved the same feat in the 2014-2015 season.
In just three months, the former Torino captain has become a firm favourite not just with the Red & Whites fans, who can be heard chanting "Glik, Glik, Glik" at every match, but also with just about every observer of French and European football. While he has received plaudits for his defensive impact, making more interceptions than any other Monegasque player since the start of the season (23), he has also created a sensation with his goalscoring prowess, netting again against St-Etienne. Kamil Glik has had eight shots on goal in Ligue 1 this season, with seven of those on target and four producing goals! Will he be the first player to make it three in a row? We'll find out in December!
