Danijel, what are your thoughts on that tough first game against FC Lorient?
It was the kind of match a 'keeper never wants to have. I hardly touched the ball, but had to pick it out of my net twice. And with a penalty and a one-on-one, there wasn't much I could do about either… It wasn't the team's night and certainly not mine. Besides the disappointment, it was hugely frustrating.
How has training been this week?
We want to keep working and correct the things that went wrong against Lorient. We need to analyse that and talk about it. Communication is important at times like this. The coach got things going on Tuesday, when we had a group debrief and the players gave lots of feedback during the session.
On Sunday, you'll be facing a Bordeaux side who won their opening match at Montpellier (0-1). What kind of game can we expect?
A tricky one, against a team that will be confident coming off the back of that first win, and they'll been keen to repeat that performance in front of their own fans. Like Monaco, Bordeaux have a new coach with an attacking philosophy, so it should be a good game to watch. As for us, we know we need to find a response after the Lorient defeat. We owe it to the supporters. There was a big crowd at the Stade Louis II last Sunday, and they went home disappointed. Today I'd like to apologise to them and assure them we'll be doing everything we can to make up for that bad start.
