This is Fabinho's second call-up for the Seleçao. Already regular in the Olympic squad, he replaced former AS Monaco player Douglas Maicon for the Brazil national side's last outing.
"Fabinho has played the last few games as a defensive midfielder, at the request of his coach (Leonardo Jardim, ed.), but he is a right-back. With him, we're strengthening our squad by giving a wider group of players the opportunity to take their place in the Seleção", explained Dunga.
So Fabinho will be at the Stade de France on 26 March as Brazil take on France, before they go on to play Chile a few days later. "I'm very happy to be back with the Seleção. It's a dream to play with the senior internationals. And it's nice to be playing against France, too. This call-up is also thanks to my friends at AS Monaco", said Fabinho.
