The flying Belgian winger was head and shoulders above his rivals for the MOTM award, picking up 80% of the votes, with 17% for Valère Germain and 3% for Tiemoué Bakayoko, who was nominated for the first time. Just reward for YFC's two assists and one goal on Ligue 1 matchday 11.
This season, "YFC" is perhaps AS Monaco's standout performer. The Belgian has clocked up 30 shots in 11 matches, and is Ligue 1's seventh most enterprising player when it comes to having a pop at goal. And with two goals to his name, he is also the team's joint top scorer alongside Dimitar Berbatov, Valère Germain and... Radamel Falcao. On top of that, his two fine goal-creating passes against Bastia took him to the top of AS Monaco's assist table (with three assists, Layvin Kurzawa just behind on two).
Last but not least, it's worth noting that with 14 goals in 64 professional games with the club, Yannick Ferreira Carrasco has exactly the same record at this stage as Jérémy Ménez achieved in his Monaco career from 2006 to 2008.
