Back to work. After Friday evening's frustrating draw against Reims (1-1), the Red & Whites were back at training on Saturday morning. The starting eleven from Friday got some treatment and a gentle work-out, mainly indoors (bike, stretching).
Everyone else was put through their paces in an intensive session. They took part in one-on-one duels in two stages (starting at one end of the pitch, followed by a sprint and a second one-on-one in front of the opposing goal). The exercise was all about honing the players' technique, finishing skills and physical fitness.
Things are set to go up another gear on Sunday, as Leonardo Jardim ensures his squad is in tip-top shape ready for Tuesday's big clash in Lisbon. Jérémy Toulalan is confident the players won't be affected by the draw against Reims. "It's a different competition, this is our fourth match in Europe. It's more problematic for the next league game, which becomes a must-win. For me though, it doesn't change anything for the game in Lisbon.
