Away on international duty
Croatia booked their place at Euro 2016 last month and will be playing a friendly against Russia in Krasnodar on Tuesday 17 November. The Monegasque goalkeeper will have a good week to recover ahead of that game.
Joao Moutinho and Bernardo Silva
Three days earlier, on Saturday 14 November, it will be Portugal facing Russia in London (at Craven Cottage). The Seleçao will then take on Luxembourg on Tuesday 17. The two Monegasque attacking midfielders are unlikely to play the full ninety minutes of both games, and shouldn't have to dig too deep into their energy reserves for the double-header.

Like Croatia and Portugal, Italy have already qualified for Euro 2016 and will face Belgium in a friendly on Friday 13 November in Brussels. A second friendly against Romania is scheduled to take place in Bologna on 17 November, but with a bigger-than-usual squad of 28 players, it's unlikely the AS Monaco forward will have to play the full ninety minutes in both fixtures.

There are no friendlies for the Nigerian left-back, but instead a double header against Swaziland in qualifying for the 2018 World Cup. The first game will be played in Lobamba (Swaziland) on 13 November, with the return fixture scheduled for 17 November in Abuja (Nigeria). For Elderson, the problem won't be having to play two games in a row, but rather the mileage involved. Swaziland is on the eastern border of South Africa, some 12,500 km from Monaco and 5,000 km from Lagos, the largest city in Nigeria !
Recalled to the Olympic squad, Fabinho will have a chance to get the measure of what's in store at Rio 2016. The Brazilians take on the USA in Recife in the early hours of Thursday 12 November (00.00), then in Belem on Sunday 15 (22.00). He also faces a long trip, with Recife some 7,000 km from the Principality, and another 1700 km between Recife and Belem. Leonardo Jardim's most used outfield player this season will have to wait for the winter break for a rest...
The playmaker and captain of the Croatia U21s, Mario Pasalic will be playing two qualifiers for the Euro U21 2017. The first should be a formality against San Marino on Wednesday 11 November, but the second will be a different kettle of fish against Spani on Tuesday 17 November.
The Portugal U21s are also involved in qualifying for the Euro U21 2017 and will take on Albania in Arouca on 12 November, before heading to Petah Tikva to face Israelon the 17th. The two matches will provide the Monegasque attacking midfielder with some game time, following his promising display against Angers.
After initially missing out on a call-up last time around, he ended up being drafted into the French U21 squad for the game against Ukraine after Mouez Hassen pulled out through injury. This time, the Monegasque 'keeper has been included from the start to face Northern Ireland (on Thursday 12 November in Guingamp) and Macedonia (on Sunday 15 November in Skopje), also for Euro U21 2017 qualifying.
Staying in the Principality
Seven of the club's regular internationals will not be featuring for their countries in November.
After his efforts for Portugal in qualifying for Euro 2016, Ricardo Carvalho has been rested for this international break, enabling him to focus on his fitness. Injured for the last round of internationals, Fabio Coentrao is working his way back to fitness and has also been left out by the Seleçao.
Like him, Tiemoué Bakayoko, Nabil Dirar, Lemar and Adama Traoré, all carrying ankle injuries, have been forced to sit out the internationals. Bakayoko is on the way back, while Dirar and Lemar will need to wait another fortnight before they can return to action, but are already working flat out to be fit as soon as possible. The process will be much longer for Traoré following his ankle surgery.
Finally, Wallace was left out of the Brazilian Olympic squad, unlike his friend Fabinho. It's the second time the Monaco defender has missed out, having been an ever-present since arriving at the club.
