Colombia are into the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup. A first for José Pekerman's men and an historic moment for the Colombian No.10 who turns 23 in July.
A GOAL FOR ALL TIME
On the pitch at the mythical Maracanã stadium, James scored the 139 and 140th goal of this magnificent FIFA World Cup. What can one say about the first? A sublime piece of skill on the edge of the area. A control on the chest, followed by a left-foot volley that gave Muslera no chance (28'). Incredible! Rodriguez was at it again after the break. Uruguay was beaten by the collective force of the Colombian team. James finished it off with a neat right-foot finish from close range. There's the other three with left foot, and one header as James is the World Cup's top scorer with five goals, and recently named best player in the group stage by FIFA... The artist at work...
