It seemed clinical finishing was all that AS Monaco lacked at Lyon on Friday night (2-1). Leonardo Jardim agrees.
"It was a close game and the result was harsh on us. If we'd been more clinical in front of goal, the outcome would have been different. We created the better chances, six or seven and away from home too, but unfortunately we only managed to score from one of them. Our opponents were much more clinical and converted two of their chances", explained the Portuguese coach.
Obviously disappointed, Jardim is now looking forwards: "The squad is feeling down because we were aiming to win. The Champions League game against Leverkusen will be very intense. We'll need to take our chances", he concluded.
