In early May, John Collins, a French champion with France in 1997, under coach Jean Tigana, came to watch R&B training at La Turbie.
"I'm very happy to be back here. I spent a lot of great moments here at La Turbie. It was a very special time in my career. We had a really great team that played great football. We won the league, I played with some magnificent players... I was very lucky," said the former midfielder.
John Collins, is delighted to see AS Monaco back inthe Champions League. "It's fantastic for the club. The players had a great season. It's very important for the big teams to be competing in Europe. Next year will be a great challenge in the Champions League. It will be difficult, but it's great for the club and the players," he added.
AS Monaco wishes John Collins every success in his new role at Celtic. Qualified for the second qualifying round of the Champions League, the Scottish club may yet be drawn with ASM in the group stage.
