On Saturday at the Moustoir, he burst in from his left-flank in the 87th minute to earn a draw for his side and score his fourth goal in Ligue 1 (HIGHLIGHTS Wk23 FC Lorient 2-2 ASMonacoFC). There are three factors to his amazing success. Firstly, it's rare to see a full-back score so many goals, especially in such a short space of time.
There also lies the second factor: Layvin Kurzawa has scored four goals in AS Monaco FC's last six Ligue 1 matches. But what's more, he has scored in Les Rouge et Blanc's last four consecutive away matches!
Top of the goal-scoring defenders list, the Asémiste No.3 is ahead of LOSC's Pape Souaré and Montpellier's Siaka Tiéné, who has also played in midfield. Amongst the other defenders on three gooals are Nantes Papy Mison Djilobodji, and Paris SG captain Thiago Silva, who he will play against this Sunday at the Stade Louis II. It will be another sub-plot in the big game of Week 24.
