Hard work, self-sacrifice and talent. Three qualities that earned Layvin Kurzawa a starting berth for France against Sweden on Tuesday evening. Didier Deschamps' side claimed a 1-0 win with a goal from Raphaël Varane.
Layvin played no part in the goal, having been forced off with a thigh injury in the 75th minute.
Until the injury, the full-back had looked comfortable, getting up and down the touchline to good effect. His performance drew plaudits, in line with his debut appearance against Albania last Friday.
