AS Monaco are delighted to announce that Manuel Pires has been appointed director of the club's Academy. A former professional player and later coach of the Amiens reserve team, Manuel Pires, 47, also oversaw the academy at OGN Nice, where he managed the reserves in 2013-2014. After three seasons at Red Star, he took up the role of head coach at Stade Lavallois last year.

Manuel Pires is a renowned manager and coach, with the experience and human qualities needed to help the Academy progress and bring through the young players to the first team."
