"I'm really pleased with the win against Arsenal. We've been working hard in pre-season, and it shows in the results we've got, like here in London (a 2-2 draw against Valencia and a 1-0 victory over Arsenal). We've rounded off our preparations with a win against the Gunners, and that's positive. Now I can't wait to get going in the league." >>> Matchday 1 AS Monaco - FC Lorient > Don't miss the new season curtain-raiser!
"I've moved back down the pitch, sure, but I feel good at right-back. I get on well with Yannick (YFC) and we link up well down the channel. I tried to find El Tigre as often as I could, but it didn't always come off!!! I'm really pleased for El Tigre. Proud he was able to get a goal. He's worked hard to get back to full fitness. He was in the right place to get on the end of João's cross and produce a fine header. It's really great for him and for us..."
Return of the Tiger
"He's just come back from a serious (cruciate ligament) injury. I had the same operation on my knee. (Pauses). I think...well actually I'm sure... only someone who's had an injury like that can really understand how you feel when you get back to playing competitively. It's hard, it takes a lot of work."
