Under the patronage of Wallace, who came through the academy system at Cruzeiro, this unique new partnership - the first of its kind in the football world - is designed to bring together the two clubs' supporter communities on the social networks.
Each week, AS Monaco and Cruzeiro EC will be offering their six million followers on the social networks an insight into the latest news from their partner club, along with a look at its history, with features including photos, videos, quizzes and more. Both clubs will also organise competitions giving their communities a chance to win shirts and other merchandise, plus "money can’t buy" experiences.
With over 100,000 Brazilian followers on the social networks, AS Monaco hopes that this new partnership will see that number continue to rise, promoting the club's image across the South-American continent. The partnership will be coordinated from Brazil by Sambafoot, a company specialising in community management of South American fans.
Vadim Vasilyev, Vice-President & CEO of AS Monaco:
"By launching this partnership with a club as prestigious as Cruzeiro EC, AS Monaco is looking to seize the opportunity to reach out to its Brazilian fans and develop its image in South America. This partnership is fully in line with the club's digital strategy, to announce us as a pioneering and bold club."
