After a few laps of the pitch and the usual stretching session, Dimitar Berbatov and co worked on their 'explosive power'. One-on-one, the players were challenged to touch their opponent, winning 1 point for a shoulder and 3 points for the knees. One particularly epic contest saw Andrea Raggi ducking and diving boxer-style as he attempted to throw the big Bulgarian off balance. Successfully, as it turned out.
The 'keepers weren't resting on their laurels while all this was going on. Under André Amitrano's direction, Suba, Marco and Seydou tested their reflexes in the "fence" exercise.
The squad then worked on passing and going through the phases of play, with both static and dynamic exercises. They'll be back at 9.00 on Saturday for the last training session before the real Ligue 1 action starts.
