Danijel Subasic has made 18 competitive appearances this season (11 in L1 and 7 in the UEFA Champions League), keeping six clean sheets, including in the last two games against CSKA Moscow and AS Nancy. After Nantes and Villarreal in August, it was the second time this season that the Croatian international 'keeper has shut out the opposition twice in a row.
Suba had a quiet night against Nancy, but still pulled off a top-drawer stop from a volley by Benoit Pedretti in the 85th minute of the game with the scoreline "only" 3-0 in the Red & Whites' favour. A save that was named in the Top 5 stops of Ligue 1 matchday 12.

Attention now turns to the international schedule for Danijel Subasic, with an important game against Iceland in Zagreb on Saturday 12 November. While the winner of that game will take top spot in Group I, the Croats have a sizeable handicap as they will be playing the game behind closed doors at the Maksimir Stadium. Three days later, Croatia will travel to Belfast to take on Northern Ireland in a friendly, the first ever meeting between the two countries.
