Nabil Dirar took up the Monegasque chellenge with the team languishing in the depths of Ligue 2. A key player in the successful attempt to earn promotion back o the top flight in 2012-2013, his Ligue 1 debut was delayed for several months when he ruptured his cruciate ligaments. Returning stronger than ever in 2014, Nabil quickly established himself as a mainstay of the side in three seasons under the management of Leonardo Jardim, who turned him into a vocal dressing room leader and a versatile player able to perform anywhere down the right flank.
Winner's medals in Ligue 2 and Ligue 1!
The Moroccan international captained the side in February 2015 in their legendary win against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, and is one of four players - along with Valère Germain, Danijel Subasic and Andrea Raggi - to have won both the Ligue 2 title in 2013, and the Ligue 1 title in 2017. After making 187 appearances for AS Monaco (14 goals), Nabil Dirar is now heading to Istanbul, where he will play for Fenerbahçe. Everyone at the club wishes him all the best in his future career.
