Built in 1191, the Palais Princier has served as the official residence of the Prince of Monaco since 1297. The impressive structure sits some sixty metres above the Mediterranean, on a unique and spectacular geological site. It is the heart and soul of the Principality, constructed like an amphitheatre overlooking the sea.
Here we have a fine view of the Palais Princier forom the Port Hercule, and more accurately from the famous "Rascasse" corner, known all over the world thanks to the Grand Prix. As you can see, the weather is a far cry from the gorgeous conditions of October, with Monaco's National Day approaching (19 November).
