AS Monaco are pleased to announce the signing of Tiémoué Bakayoko, who will turn 20 years old on 17 August. Already capped by France at U16 and U20 levels, the Paris-born player previously played for Stade Rennais, with whom he made his Ligue 1 debut in 2013. The 1.84 metre-tall defensive midfielder made 28 appearances for the Breton club last season, scoring one goal, and will now continue his development in the red and white of AS Monaco.
Vadim Vasilyev: "We are dlighted to be able to attract talented young French players with high potential like Tiémoué Bakayoko. He is part of our development and our strategy focused on building for the long term."
Tiémoué Bakayoko:"This is a first milestone in my career. I am proud to sign for AS Monaco, a club that's on the up. I'm grateful to the club's board for showing faith in me."
