On Tuesday afternoon, Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco put pen to paper on a new deal tying him to AS Monaco until 2019.
"I'm really pleased to be part of such an ambitious project at AS Monaco. This contract extension is a vote of confidence from the management and coaching staff. And the prospect of playing in the Champions League with the club where I came through the academy ranks is a huge source of pride..."
Vadim Vasilyev, Vice-President of AS Monaco, was also keen to highlight the "importance of young players to our project. Yannick has won the Coupe Gambardella with AS Monaco (in 2011), and this season he'll be representing the club that brought him through in the Champions League. That's a remarkable journey. There were a number of clubs interested in him, but he opted to extend his stay with us and we're delighted he's committed to our project."
