Aleksandr Golovin is MVP of the draw in Marseille!

Aleksandr Golovin is MVP of the draw in Marseille!
At the origin of the opening goal, the Rouge et Blanc number 17 was elected MVP of the match against Olympique de Marseille (1-1) on the AS Monaco App.

He allowed AS Monaco to make good on their excellent start to the match! Clearly dominant, the team were authors of several clear chances (3′, 5′, 15′), and all that was missing was an opener for the Rouge et Blanc to make the perfect start. This was accomplished in the 17th minute through Aleksandr Golovin, who on a very well-taken free kick from the left, forced Jordan Veretout to put the ball into his own goal.

Strong work defensively

Decisive for the eleventh time in all competitions (four goals, five assists and two own goals provoked), the Tsar thus continues to prove that he is one of the best players in Ligue 1 this season.

This Saturday during the draw in Marseille (1-1), he was also very involved on the defensive side of the ball, with seven balls recoveries, two successful tackles, an interception and a defensive clearance. It was a complete match on both sides of the ball which earned him the title of MVP of this match on the AS Monaco App for the fifth of the season, with 35% of the vote.

Ahead of Eliesse Ben Seghir

He finished ahead of his young teammate Eliesse Ben Seghir, who had 28% of the vote. The Academy-trained midfielder was very impressive during this match, his first at the Stade Vélodrome. Totally unbothered by the occasion, he completed 88.9% of his passes, was fouled three times — the most in the match record, and could also have scored a goal but for a good save from Ruben Blanco at the near post. Bravo Eliesse and congratulations Golo!
