Aleksandr The Great!

It had been almost two years since an AS Monaco player had been involved in three goals in the same Ligue 1 match! More than than that, though, Aleksandr Golovin was the player who won the most balls in this game (17), tied with Nice defender Andy Pelmard.
Tsar. @AS_Monaco pic.twitter.com/1NaQFwf3N4

It’s simple, “Golo” seemed to be everywhere on the pitch of the Stade Louis-II which, is quickly becoming his own. The Monaco No 17 ran up and down the pitch, as comfortable going forward as he was with his defensive efforts. His play also shows credit to the entire team, which allowed the midfielder to shine in this derby, under the watchful eye of President Dmitry Rybolovlev.
Clearly pleased with this first win of the season, he joined in the celebrations in the locker room after the match with Vice President Oleg Petrov to congratulate the players and the staff, but also to give a warm embrace to the evening’s hero. It was a moment of conviviality inevitably appreciated and something to build on for the next matches, starting Saturday against Brest.
Ça fait du bien 😀 A samedi pour #ASMSB29 ! pic.twitter.com/TVL0tiK741
