AS Monaco beats Lyon

An ideal first half
In fine form from the start, the Red and White impose their game to the Lyonnais in the first minutes. Falcao is the first to shine by attempting an acrobatic volley (9′). His shot misses the frame. The effort was sublime.
Less than 10 minutes later, Gelson Martins inherits a Ballo-Toure cross. The Portuguese center forward feints a shot and, in the process, launched a shot that is lodged near post with pace. Anthony Lopes is beaten and the Red and Whites take the lead in this encounter (1-0, 17′).
The Monegasques put a lot of intensity in this part and continue their offensive actions. In the 27′ Rony Lopes starts a fine run down the left side only to deceive the goalkeeper to finish a low shot and double the score(2-0).
The score remains two goals to zero at halftime. The Red and Whites are logically rewarded for their good first period.
Imperial Subasic
In the second half, the Red and White come back with the same intentions. Radamel Falcao is again illustrated with a coiled strike, which hits the right post of Anthony Lopes (58′).
While the two teams are neutralized in the midfield, the Lyonnais manage to find a gap and get a penalty (71 ‘). Subasic wins his duel against Memphis Depay and diverts perfectly the shot on goal. The score is still two goals to zero for Monegasques who retain their lead.
In the last fifteen minutes of this match, AS Monaco shows solidarity and pushes forward away the turn Lyon attack. Red and White are now counter-attacking.
AS Monaco won 2-0 and went on to a fourth match without defeat. Gelson Martins becomes the first Monegasque player this season to score a goal in 3 consecutive games in Ligue 1 Conforama. The Portuguese confirms his excellent form. The Red and White are now 16th in the championship at three points of Toulouse (15th).
