Axel Disasi: "The mood remains positive"
AS Monaco central defender Axel Disasi spoke at a press conference following the draw between his team and FC Lorient (0-0), this Sunday during the 24th day of Ligue 1.

AS Monaco came up against a very tightly-knit and very solid Lorient team this Sunday on the 24th round of Ligue 1. Held in check at home (0-0), the Rouge et Blanc simply lacked the finishing touch in the final third and kept their good form of late (three wins and a draw), as Axel Disasi pointed out after the match.

We are a little disappointed because we had the ambition to take all three points, but there is still something positive to remember. We are already focusing our trip to Bordeaux next Sunday and we remain confident and ambitious to move further up the standings.

Hello Axel. How do you see this match?

Overall I think we were dominant in all aspects of the game. Unfortunately in football, as one knows you have to score a goal more than the opponent and that’s what we lacked today to get the win. We are a little disappointed because we had the ambition to take all three points, but there is still something positive to remember. We are already focusing our trip to Bordeaux next Sunday and we remain confident and ambitious to move further up the standings.

You faced a well-organised team in front of their goal…

Indeed, we must also recognize that they defended well and showed solidarity. We know this, but we should have been able to find a break in order to score a goal which would have helped us. On the other hand, we did not concede any chances.

Despite this draw, the good form of AS Monaco continues…

Absolutely, the mood remains positive. There were plenty of good things today, as the coach explained to us in the locker room. He also underlined that we are keeping our good form, that we didn’t concede a goal and that we had a lot of chances, even if we will have to be more clinical in the final third in the matches to come.

Rise. Risk. Repeat.
