Draw between Braga and AS Monaco

Draw between Braga and AS Monaco
Currently in training in Portugal, AS Monaco faced SC Braga on Wednesday night. The two teams split a scoreless draw.

First half XI:

Lecomte – Chadli – Glik – Panzo – Gil Dias – Jemerson – Fabregas – A.Traoré – Rony Lopes – Gelson Martins – Foster.

First half

The first opportunity for Les Monegasques came when Rony Lopes sent a cross into the box for Lyle Foster who tries a shot, but Portuguese goalkeeper Matheus came up with the save. Rony Lopes, starting a one-two with Cesc Fabregas, put together a great sequence, but missed the frame of the Braga goal. Due to a misunderstanding between the visitors’ goalie and his defense, Gelson Martins tried a lob from the edge of the box, but is saved. Later in the half, Benjamin Lecomte is forced to make a double-save on a corner. Foster, once again, receives a Rony Lopes cross, but his header misses slightly off the frame. Shortly before half-time, Benjamin Lecomte saves another by deflecting the Portuguese free-kick, which hits the left post. Both teams return to the locker room on the score of 0-0.

Second half

Lyle Foster kicks off the second half. SC Braga gets the first chance out of the locker room. Jonathan Panzo clears a cross for a corner and avoids the danger. Another Portuguese opportunity comes when the cross of Fransérgio is too short for the Braga striker. After another save for Benjamin Lecomte, the Red and White emerge but Wilson prepares his strike, which scrapes the post of Red and White. AS Monaco returns to the attack via Golovin. The Russian midfielder finds Benjamin Henrichs, who strikes, forcing the Portuguese goalkeeper to push back for a corner. Aleksandr Golovin crosses for Naldo in the area, but the Monegasque is too short. It’s over, AS Monaco and SC Braga split on a draw, 0-0.
