First half

The first opportunity for Les Monegasques came when Rony Lopes sent a cross into the box for Lyle Foster who tried a shot, but Portuguese goalkeeper Matheus came up with the save. Later in the half, Benjamin Lecomte was forced to make a double-save on a corner. Foster, once again, received a Rony Lopes cross, but his header missed slightly off the frame. Shortly before half-time, Benjamin Lecomte saved another shot by deflecting the Portuguese free-kick, which hit the left post. Both teams returned to the locker room on the score of 0-0.

Second half

Another Portuguese opportunity came when Fransérgio cross was too short for the Braga striker. After another save for Benjamin Lecomte, the Red and White emerged but Wilson prepared his strike, which hit the post of Red and White. AS Monaco returned to the attack through Golovin. The Russian midfielder found Benjamin Henrichs, who strikes, forcing the Portuguese goalkeeper to push the shot back for a corner.
