Jean-Kévin Augustin spoke to the press two days before AS Monaco - LOSC this Tuesday evening in the Round of 16 in the BKT Coupe de la Ligue (9:05 p.m.); here are some excerpts.
In the few matches I have played, I have managed to be decisive for the team. It is important for the club and for confidence also on a personal level. Now it's up to me to continue working, to be good at training and to be there when the coach calls me. Today Wissam and Islam play more, but the competition with Keita and myself is healthy, it's good for the team.
In recent months and especially last season, things have gone wrong for me. But it's part of learning. I have acquired experience, it is up to me not to repeat the mistakes I have made in the past. Today I am at AS Monaco, I am working, trying to earn playing time.
There should be an eleven on Tuesday and another on Saturday, but we are all prepared to play these two matches and do everything to win them both.
We work a lot in training, we also talk a lot between us, always with the desire to do more because we know that it is essential to achieve our goals. Defensively things are already much better. We know that it will be determined by the small details, that success involves work and rigor.
