Biography
Naldo is certainly the most German of Brazilian defenders. After starting playing in Germany in 2002, he spent more than thirteen seasons in the Bundesliga, which led him to be naturalized German in 2014. From 2005 to 2012, the great central defender made Werder Bremen very happy. They were finalists in the UEFA Cup in 2009 (now Europa League). Called up four times with the Seleçao during this period, he won the Copa America 2007. In 2012, Naldo joined the VFL Wolfsburg for four seasons before playing three more with Schalke 04. On January 3rd, 2019, with his 533 professional matches and 73 goals scored, he has signed up for a season and a half with AS Monaco.
