May 21, 2012 – The Italian defender, Andrea Raggi, joins AS Monaco where he will become a fan favourite, becoming an important part of the team’s success in L2, L1 and the Champions League.
May 30, 2012 – Claudio Ranieri replaces Marco Simone at the head of a team destined for a return to Ligue 1, a mission he will successfully complete a year later.
July 27, 2012 – The season’s first league game against Tours and first professional match for Yannick Carrasco, who opened the scoring with a splendid free kick. AS Monaco won 4-0, and the season had started.
August 6, 2012 – Lucas Ocampos arrives from River Plate and becomes the most expensive transfer in the history of Ligue 2.
May 11, 2013 – A goal by Ibrahima Touré in added time allows AS Monaco to ensure its return to Ligue 1 away to Nîmes.
May 24, 2013 – By winning at home against Le Mans, AS Monaco becomes champion of France in Ligue 2 for the first time in its history. The same day the club announced the transfers of Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez from FC Porto.
May 31, 2013 – As the club celebrates the title of champion acquired a few days earlier, Dmitry Rybolovlev announces the arrival of Radamel Falcao at AS Monaco. The Fontvieille big top explodes with joy. The Colombian star would be presented a few weeks later at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo.
June 25, 2013 – The U19 team coached by Frédéric Barilaro are champions of France. Abdou Diallo is one of the key players of this team.
July 8, 2013 – Eric Abidal and Jérémy Toulalan are officially presented to the media after their recruitment. Their experience, added to that of the many other major recruits in the summer transfer window, will allow AS Monaco to succeed in Ligue 1.
August 8, 2013 – Vadim Vasilyev is appointed Executive Vice President of AS Monaco.
