Youssouf Fofana signs for AS Monaco
AS Monaco is pleased to announce the signing of Youssouf Fofana from Strasbourg. The French U-21 international midfielder has signed for 5 seasons, until June 2024.

Born on January 10, 1999 in Paris, the midfielder has played for Espérance Paris 19th, Red Star, and Drancy, having joined Racing Club de Strasbourg in 2017.

After a full season in the reserves there, he joined the first team; to date, he has played 40 games (4 goals, 1 assist) in two seasons for Strasbourg, including three in the Europa League.

Winner of the 2018/2019 Coupe de la Ligue, he earned his first selection with Les Bleuets in November 2019 after having competed in the 2019 U20 World Cup.

We are very pleased with the signing of Youssouf Fofana, whom we have been following for some time. His arrival strengthens the squad's competitiveness. Youssouf is a midfielder with great potential who knows the league well. Here, he will find the conditions to continue to progress in the coming seasons and demonstrate all of his qualities.
