An impressive run of form from Keita Baldé

An impressive run of form from Keita Baldé
Author of a superb double against Stade de Reims, the Senegalese international striker has been performing well at the Stade Louis-II since mid-September.

Back at AS Monaco after being loaned to Inter Milan for the 2018-2019 season, Keita Baldé was quick to resume scoring at the Stade Louis-II. Scorer against OM on the 5th day, he has since been decisive in each of his home appearances, aside from the Round of 16 of the Coupe de la Ligue against Lille on December 17.

The #7 had subsequently completed a large red and white victory against Brest (J8), before assisting Wissam Ben Yedder for the victorious goal against Rennes (J10). While not involved in the victory against Dijon (J13), Keita Baldé also found the net in early December against Amiens (J17). A starter in the last match of 2019, the player trained at La Masia of FC Barcelona also took a leading role in the big win against LOSC, scoring the second goal of the meeting with a splendid header (J19).

With an almost identical goal against Reims, Keita Baldé showed the way forward for his team on the hour of play. The icing on the cake, his winning goal at the end of stoppage time would thus confirm his rise to power once more as the second half of this 2019-2020 season gets underway. With a record of 14 goals in 44 appearances in the red and white jersey (31 starts), Keita Baldé scores an average of 1 goal every 3 games with AS Monaco.

And with 6 goals already in 2019-2020 and a clearly increasing scoring pace since December, he is well on his way to achieve, at a minimum, the second-best season of his career, having scored 19 times in 2016-2017 with Lazio. And to do even better, Keita Baldé can count on the support of the fans, with whom he was able to speak after having offered his team a well-deserved qualification.

Rise. Risk. Repeat.
