B. Henrichs, 1st interview

“It’s hard to leave the club. But I’m very happy to be involved here. I’ve played AS Monaco in the Champions League and Youth League, and I love this project. It’s playing football, and the fact that the club makes a lot of young players grow up, I love this philosophy, I hope for the same, that’s why I chose AS Monaco.

In the youth category, I played in the midfield. Afterwards, coach Roger Schmidt made me play outside back. Whether left or right. Finally, I can play all these positions, on the sides, in the axis, in the middle. For me no matter the position, the most important is to play as much as possible.

I attacked football at the age of 3 or 4. My parents always tell me that during the first training, I did not like it at all. I cried, I wanted to leave the field. Then, little by little, I got hooked. 

I had the chance to taste playing with the Mannschaft. We won the Confederations Cup in 2017. A huge experience in my young career. When you have won a title, you want to win again. Of course, it’s a dream to return to the national team again … “
