AS Monaco Wins against Valencia 1-0)
AS Monaco won in their last friendly in Switzerland against Valencia by the score of a goal to zero. Lyle Foster was the scorer on the Red and White side.

First half XI: Lecomte, Dias, Jemerson, Glik (c), Sidibe, Rony Lopes, Aholou, Golovin, Boschilia, Pelé, Foster.

First half

The first opportunity came for Monegasque Captain Kamil Glik off of a corner from Rony Lopes, but his header missed the frame (3′). An attempt then came for Aleksandr Golovin as the red-and-white midfielder smashed a powerful shot from outside the area, which hit the crossbar (8 ‘) before coming up against the goalkeeper of Valencia, Jaume (14′).

Another attempt for AS Monaco came on a service of Aholou, when Sidibé’s shot missed the frame (18’). The Monegasque goalkeeper won his first duel by stopping an attempt (20 ‘, 0-0). Lecomte later stopped the rebound from Kang In (22’).

Jean-Eudes Aholou recovered the ball at the feet of the Valencia defender, creating a give-and-go with Golovin before unleashing his shot, but Jaume saved the first time around. The midfielder recovered the ball again and tried his second shot, which was rebounded by Lyle Foster, who scored the first goal of the game (38 ‘, 1-0). AS Monaco took their lead into half-time.

Second half:

After the break, Valencia got the first chances of the second half but the two strikes passed over the arms of Lecomte (46 ‘and 50′). AS Monaco then responded via a Rony Lopes shot, but the goalkeeper Rivero stopped the attempt (55’, 1-0).

Valencia got two free-kicks at the top of the box but both strikes went well above the goal of the Red and White (57 ‘and 59’, 1-0). Rodrigo, once again took over a cross from Jose Luis but Benjamin Lecomte came away with the save.

AS Monaco finishes their training camp in Switzerland with a victory against Valencia, 1-0.

The Rouge et Blanc will fly to Portugal on Tuesday to complete the final pre-season training camp. Two meetings are on the docket against Braga on July 24 and against FC Porto on July 27.
