Aurélien Tchouameni in L'Equipe's team of the season!

Aurélien Tchouameni in L'Equipe's team of the season!
The AS Monaco midfielder is in the team of the season, as chosen by the sports daily, with two of his teammates are on the substitutes bench.

A sparkling season, and it’s been justly rewarded. Named best young player and in the UNFP team of the season in 2020-2021, Aurélien Tchouameni built on those during the season which has just ended, since he is once again in the team of the season, chosen by the players themselves. But that’s not all.

Third-best average of the season

The AS Monaco midfielder is also a part of the team of the season chosen by the newspaper L’Equipe, according to the average of the marks given throughout the league season. And in this exercise, our number 8 is on the podium! With an average score of 5.97 over the season, he is the third highest rated player in Ligue 1, just behind Kylian Mbappé (PSG) and Martin Terrier (Rennes), who each finished with a 6.

Youssouf Fofana and Wissam Ben Yedder on the bench

Two other AS Monaco players are among the substitutes in this team of the season. The first is Youssouf Fofana, Aurélien Tchouameni’s partner in midfield, with an average of 5.83. And the second is obviously Wissam Ben Yedder, second-top scorer in Ligue 1 with 25 goals, who finished with a superb overall score of 5.90. Well done to all three!
