Caio Henrique is your MVP against Troyes and in the L'Equipe team of the round
Author of an impressive match, including a sublime free kick, the Brazilian left back was voted MVP by the fans on the AS Monaco App and appears in l'Équipe's team of the round for Matchday 31 in Ligue 1.

There was a hint of Brazil in the Stade Louis-II on Sunday afternoon. In the 19th minute of the match against Troyes, Caio Henrique let his fabulous left foot do the talking by slamming a free kick under the bar of Jessy Moulin, and sending his team on their way to a third consecutive win (2-1).

I am also very happy that Caio Henrique had the opportunity to score this superb goal from a free kick. This will give him confidence and reward him for his current good performance. It's a positive thing.
Philippe ClementManager, AS Monaco

It was his second goal in Ligue 1 this season, after scoreing against Clermont at home, a figure to which must be added six assists, as the Monegasque left back confirms that he is one of the most impressive defenders in terms of goal contributions in Europe. Since his first match in the top flight, on October 18, 2020, he has been decisive 12 times (2 goals, 10 assists). Only Jonathan Clauss (22) has done among Ligue 1 defenders over this period.

The successor to “Golo” on free kicks!

Author of Monaco’s first direct free kick goal in Ligue 1 since February 7, 2021 (Aleksandr Golovin in Nîmes), Caio Henrique also produced a solid defensive game, as evidenced by the applause of the Monegasque supporters when he was replaced by Ismail Jakobs in the 78th minute. It was a complete match which earned him a pair of awards; both the MVP on the AS Monaco App and a place in L’Equip’s team of the round on the 31st matchday of Ligue 1. Congratulations Caio!
