Thank You le Tigre!

Thank You le Tigre!
The highlights of Radamel Falcao's career in the Monaco jersey.

From the announcement of his signing by President Rybolovlev on May 31, 2013 to his last Monegasque goal against the Sampdoria of Genoa on August 3, 2019, a little over six years have passed. Six years, but four seasons rich in goals and emotions. Summarizing them is not easy, but to put Radamel Falcao’s contribution to the red and white jersey is rather simple: 140 games, 83 goals. A ratio of 0.6 goal on average per meeting, and the insurance of a goal every 150 minutes.

This makes him the fourth best scorer for AS Monaco in almost one hundred years of existence, including more than seventy years at the highest level. Only Delio Onnis (223 goals in 280 games), Lucien Cossou (115 in 188) and Christian Dalger (89 in 335) scored more goals than Falcao in the Monaco jersey.

An important double in the derby and the title race.
The Coup

El Tigre roared as AS Monaco won 6-1 against OM early in the 2017-2018 season.

1 / 10

If we can not mention each of these 83 goals individually, let us remember the standout moments: His first in Ligue 1 in Bordeaux, his decisive doubles against Nice and Dijon in the 2017 title race, the masterful lob from the midfield line against Caen in December 2017, and the stroke of genius at City a few months earlier in the Champions League. Lest we forget the crucial first goal against Amiens last spring, keeping us in the elite.

During the rebirth of 2013, the epic of 2017 or the difficulties in 2019, AS Monaco was able to rely on the professional, scorer and captain Radamel Falcao to find success. A page is turning today, but “El Tigre” will have left his sacred claw in the history of the club.
