Stéphane Nado named reserves manager

Stéphane Nado named reserves manager
The manager, with previous experience at Guingamp, Brest, Marseille and Caen arrives to take charge of the reserves, whose training is scheduled to resume on July 5.

At the end of his playing career (Ligue 2 with Saint-Brieuc), Stéphane Nado began a career as a trainer and has since spent time working with Guingamp, Brest and Marseille, where he trained the OM U19s before joining Caen, working as head of the team’s academy through the end of 2020.

David Bechkoura’s successor

Now at the head of the AS Monaco reserves, the Breton manager is succeeding David Bechkoura, who is joining the staff of Michel Der Zakarian, recently appointed at Brest (Ligue 1).

I am very happy to join a club like AS Monaco, whose academy has always been recognized. I now have the opportunity to return to the pitch after having worked as director of the academy at Stade Malherbe de Caen. Doing it at an institution as prestigious as AS Monaco is a point of great pride. I will try to bring experience to bear in order to help improve the players and develop young talents.

He joins Frédéric Barilaro and Manu Dos Santos

At the academy, Stéphane Nado (N2) joins a technical team made up of Frédéric Barilaro, coach of the U19s (who resume July 19), and Manu Dos Santos, coach of the U17 side (who return to training July 26).

AS Monaco would also like to acknowledge Sébastien Squillaci and Gaël Givet, whose contracts are coming to an end. Despite the last two seasons being strongly impacted by the health crisis, the two former players, both of whom were finalists in the 2004 Champions League with the team, had joined the academy as assistants, and were always keen to pass on the experience that they had acquired in the red and white jersey. The entire club wishes them every success for the future.
