Wissam Ben Yedder named MVP against Strasbourg

Wissam Ben Yedder named MVP against Strasbourg
After scoring his 8th goal of the season in Ligue 1, our captain was elected MVP of the match against Strasbourg (1-1) by you, the Rouge et Blanc fans, on the AS Monaco App.

And it’s three! After having already been honored following the trip to Shakhtar Donetsk (2-2) and the win at home over Saint-Etienne (3-1), Wissam Ben Yedder was again elected MVP against Strasbourg (1-1) this Sunday, by the fans of the Rouge et Blanc on the AS Monaco App. The captain won with 56% of the vote, finishing ahead of Aleksandr Golovin (22%) and Guillermo Maripán (5%).

10 goals in 23 matches this season

“Captain Wissam” was justly rewarded having played a full match, in which he scored his eighth goal of the season in Ligue 1, converting a penalty won by Kevin Volland in stoppage time in the first half. It was his fourth goal from the spot in Ligue 1 in the season, from four attempts, and his tenth goal in all competitions, in 23 matches.

Denied a double by the post

The former Toulouse man could even have had a second, but he was unlucky in hitting the post of Matz Sels at the very start of the match, after a superb bit of control with his left and a shot with his right. This should give him even more motivation for the trip to Angers, this Wednesday (7 p.m.) as part of the 16th round of the league. Congratulations Wissam!
