Youssouf Fofana: "This win will do us well"

Mission accomplished for the Rouge et Blanc! This Thursday, against Real Sociedad, the equation was simple: a victory would confirm first place in the group and a place in the round of 16. In winning, 2-1, the Monegasques therefore had the perfect evening, as Youssouf Fofana expressed to the media after the match.

Mission accomplished … and a first goal…

We had a solid game, defensively and offensively, so I’m very happy. We showed a lot of solidarity, confidence, we had a good chemistry, and it was seen on the pitch. Regarding soring my first goal with Monaco, I was expecting it, but above all I will remember that it does us good because it allows us to qualify for the Round of 16.

An important victory

Since the start of the year, I think the only thing we’ve lacked is efficiency, which we’ve had in the Europa League. In this competition, we’ve faced teams with different styles, but it is true that this win will do us well, like many other matches, and also that qualification will do us well.
