Have the same performance as in August
Winners against AJ Auxerre in the Round of 64 (1-2) and then US Orléans thanks to a double by George Ilenikhena (1-3), Sébastien Pocognoli’s men won their first two matches in the Old Lady. They will now need to replicate that performance to continue their adventure on Racing’s home ground, the Monegasques having previously managed to beat them at the Stade Louis-II in August (3-2).
A favorable historical record against RCSA
The objective will therefore be to make it two wins in a row and thus confirm a favorable historical record, as the two teams have already met twice in the competition, resulting in two victories for Monaco: in the round of 32 during the 1952-1953 season (3-2), and then in the quarterfinals in 1957-1958 (2-1).
