Breel Embolo joins Stade Rennais
Arriving in 2022 from Borussia Mönchengladbach, the 28-year-old Swiss striker played 89 matches in La Diagonale , scoring 22 goals and making 13 assists.
Decisive in the quest for the podium
Last season, Breel Embolo played an impressive season with the Rouge et Blanc, taking part in 42 matches, scoring 7 goals and providing 9 assists. The Swiss international (77 caps, 18 goals) notably started each of the 10 Champions League matches (1 goal, 3 assists).
He was also decisive in derby wins against Nice (2-1, Matchday 27) and Olympique de Marseille (3-0, Matchday 29) in the run-in as he fully contributed to a third place finish in Ligue 1 and direct qualification for the Champions League.

After FC Basel, FC Schalke 04, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and AS Monaco, Breel joins another Ligue 1 club, Stade Rennais.
