George Ilenikhena joins Al-Ittihad
Having arrived in the summer of 2024, George Ilenikhena (19 years old) made 51 appearances in AS Monaco colours, scoring 10 goals and providing 2 assists. With the Rouge & Blanc, the striker played an active role in the Club’s strong 2024–2025 season, which ended with a podium finish in Ligue 1 and a solid UEFA Champions League campaign.
He scored against Barcelona in Champions League
Born in Lagos (Nigeria) and developed in the Paris region in Antony (Hauts-de-Seine), George Ilenikhena notably made his mark on the European stage by scoring the winning goal against FC Barcelona (2-1) in AS Monaco’s return to the Champions League.

During the current season, he featured in 20 matches across all competitions (Ligue 1, UEFA Champions League and Coupe de France). He stood out by scoring several decisive goals, notably away to AJ Auxerre at the Stade Abbé-Deschamps in Ligue 1 (2-1), and in the Coupe de France round of 16 against US Orléans (3-1).
