Georgia, a unique AS Monaco apprenticeship program
Georgia, aged 23, was welcomed by AS Monaco for a one-week visit and full immersion within the Monegasque facilities. A complete and diversified program allowed her to discover the club: she was able to attend the Ligue 1opening match between AS Monaco and Olympique Lyonnais, exchange some views with Academy coaches and employees but also travel to Turin with the U19 team as part of a friendly match.
“Football is something very important in my life. I watch matches every day,” she admits. The young woman, who holds a UEFA C certificate in coaching football, she’s part of the U6 to U12 Apoel Nicosia Academy coaching staff, her hometown club.
With a degree in psychology, she combines her two passions to help young players progress both physically and mentally. Her academic background is an additional tool in his daily professional work. She recognizes the importance of helping young players to overcome their limits and remain calm under pressure to fully express their creativity on the field.
“AS Monaco has a great history and a very long tradition. Of course I already knew the football club very well. Since the first day I came here I have received a great reception from everyone in the Club and I have learnt a lot during my stay. » Her interest in football and her desire to progress in this environment is unique and inspiring. She knows the club well. Coming from a country where football is part of everyday life, AS Monaco remains valued and appreciated.
« Any dream? Joining a women’s first division team. Never taking anything for granted, that’s fundamental. » With women’s football on the rise, Georgia is now looking forward to her future within a top-flight women’s club, with a positive and optimistic outlook. Smiling and grateful to the club, she shares her dreams and ambitions while spreading this message: “Stay Strong”.
