Born in Lagos, Nigeria, George Ilenikhena arrived in France with his parents at the age of three, living in Antony. He quickly took up football at his local club, where he completed all his schooling, before joining Amiens in 2021. The striker soon showed his eye for goal, scoring 24 times at U17 level. The pure left-hander then discovered the professional team and made his Ligue 2 debut on 10 January 2023, scoring three days later at Bordeaux to become the youngest goalscorer in the league's history at 16 years and 150 days. The Nigerian joined Royal Antwerp the following summer, and was fully integrated into the team's rotation. Every time he came on, he made a huge contribution, scoring six goals as supersub. It was a role he kept up against Barcelona, saving his team's blushes in injury time to become the youngest French scorer in the Champions League. Having scored 14 goals in all competitions, George signed for AS Monaco in July 2024. The Nigerian striker played in 31 matches in all competitions, scoring 6 goals and providing 2 assists.
