AS Monaco's squad and schedule for their training camp in England
Back on English soil! Two weeks after their return to training, and on the heels of their first win in the preseason, against Cercle Bruges (1-0), Adi Hütter and his players are heading to England and St George’s Park, the Three Lions’ base camp, this Sunday for a week-long training camp.
Back on familiar ground ✈️
After a first visit to the British “Clairefontaine” in the summer of 2023, the Club is thus repeating the experience for a week of intense work from July 13 to 19. Built in 2012, the site has no fewer than 14 outdoor pitches, including an exact replica of Wembley Stadium. Two years ago, the Monegasques had a clean sweep in England, winning twice — against Real Betis (3-1) and then against Leeds (2-0).
Two matches on the schedule 🏟️
This year, the Rouge et Blanc‘s training will once again feature two friendly matches. First, against Coventry City, who play in the EFL Championship (Wednesday, July 16 at 6 p.m. French time), for the first time between the two teams. Then, against last season’s Premier League sensation, Nottingham Forest (7th), at the SMH Group Stadium in Chesterfield (Saturday, July 19 at 4 p.m. French time).
