Edan Diop joins Cercle Bruges on loan
Formed at the Academy, Edan Diop (20 years old) joins Cercle Bruges, a sister club of AS Monaco playing in the Jupiler Pro League. The midfielder, who has a contract in the Principality until June 2028, will thus continue his development in the Belgian first division.
A second Monégasque with the Groen-Zwart
Edan will head north with his teammate Valy Konaté, a left back also loaned by AS Monaco to Cercle for the 2025-2026 season. Originally from Tours, Edan Diop joined the Academy in 2019, after stints at Tours FC (2009-2014) then at Chambray FC (2014-2019).
His good performances in the youth team allowed him to take his first steps in professional football during the 2022-2023 season and to fully integrate into the first team squad, taking part in around twenty matches (1 goal). A French international at youth level, he has made 14 appearances, scoring 4 goals with the U19 and U20 teams.
AS Monaco wishes him the greatest success with Cercle! 🟢⚫
