Maghnes Akliouche is called up to the French national team for the first time!
He’s become the 73rd Monégasque to wear the shirt of the French national team! After Axel Disasi, the last to have done so to date, it’s the turn of Maghnes Akliouche to grow this contingent. The midfielder trained at the Academy has in fact been selected by Didier Deschamps to finally represent Les Bleus for the first time.
Two chances to show himself
It is thus a nice reward for him who after an impressive season with 12 goals and 7 assists in all competitions and as someone who has already found the net once against Le Havre this season. Called up for this September break, the silver medalist at the 2024 Olympics will have two opportunities to experience the joys of a first cap against Ukraine, on Friday September 5 (8:45 p.m.), then against Iceland, on Tuesday the 9th (8:45 p.m.), in the start of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. Daghe Maghnes!
