Report: PSG 4-0 AS Monaco

AS Monaco lost in the Champions Trophy match against PSG in Shenzhen. Focus now on the first day of Ligue 1 against FC Nantes.

Leonardo Jardim started two rookies for this match of Trophée des Champions against PSG: Jean-Eudes Aholou and Samuel Grandisr. PSG then became more dangerous, and in the 32nd minute Di Maria opened the scoring on a direct free-kick shot. Rony Lopes nearly equalized soon after before Nkunku made it 2-0 before the break.

In the second half, Jardim made changes with Diop and Keita, shifting to a 4-2-3-1 pattern, with Jovetic testing Buffon twice. With the game’s chances evening, N’soki found Weah for the 3-0 lead for Paris. Jovetic nearly cut into the lead before Di Maria scored the fourth and final goal. AS Monaco played in front of 41,237 fans in Shenzhen, and now the team looks ahead to the Ligue 1 opener against Nantes on Saturday.
